What is a waxing service like at Desert Palette?
Every waxing service begins with a cleanse of the area to remove any dead skin cell buildup, makeup, or oils. I specialize in facial waxing, so cleansing is always a must!
Once we finish prepping the skin, we’ll discuss exactly what you’re looking for before beginning your wax. Afterward, I’ll soothe the skin with my favorite post-epilation oil by Comfort Zone and go over all aftercare with you.
After your service, be sure to avoid exfoliants, harsh cleansers, and heavy or comedogenic makeup products while the skin settles.
What is different about my brow wax service?
Brows were truly my first love and are the service where I can really express my passion for art. I approach every set based on your existing follicle growth, natural bone structure, and growth pattern.
After cleansing the brow area, I always begin with mapping. This includes creating small lines with mapping thread to measure how both brows grow and compare symmetry. Brows are sisters, not twins, but my goal is always to enhance your natural brows in the best way possible.
Once we’ve mapped your bone structure and growth pattern, we move into waxing. At the end of the service, I trim along your natural brow growth pattern so the hairs continue to lay naturally and we avoid an overly cut or chunky look.
The finished result creates a clean, refreshed contrast between the skin and brow hair, helping bring out your natural shape and give you that extra boost of brow confidence.
